It’s amazing how many adults have never put a clean diaper on a baby. Place a new diaper under the baby and secure the diaper’s fasteners. If the baby is a newborn, you may need to make sure the cut of the diaper leaves room for the new umbilical cord. If you are using cloth, fold down the top of the diaper to compensate. Don’t be afraid to make the diaper fit snugly. A loose diaper is just never, ever a good thing.
